Ingredients:
- 1/2 kg of ground beef or 1 pre-cooked burger meat
- 2 Portobello's
- Cheese
- Pepper
- Garlic Salt
- Cilantro powder (optional)
- 2 pieces of bacon
- 2 tomato slices
- Lettuce
- 4 Asparagus (optional)
- Olive Oil or Coconut Oil
Grinding your own burger meat
- Buy your ground beef at your local store.¿
- Beat an egg in a bowl
- Take the amount of meat that you believe is necessary and season it with a little garlic salt, pepper and cilantro powder and start making a ball shape out of the beef.
- Then put the ball in the egg and start stirring it until you feel that it becomes more consistent. If you see that it is very watery add a little more meat or bread crumbs.
- Once the ball is consistent, flatten it with your hand and continue molding until it is in the shape of a burger patty.
PROCESS ON MAKING YOUR BURGER
- Heat the olive oil in the pan. Once its hot, put your 2 Portobello's previously seasoned with a little pepper and cook for 10 min. Over medium heat. (You can cover it so it cooks faster).
- Once the Portobello's are ready, you turn off the heat and keep them covered so they don't get cold.
- Then you cook your burger patty in another pan with some olive oil at medium heat. Once is half cooked (not before), turn the patty over and leave it to cook uncovered for about 4 min. Add the cheese of your choice and leave it to cook covered for about 2 or 3 minutes or until the cheese is melts. Once its melted, you turn off the heat.
*recommendation: cook the bacon along with the patty so it cooks with the meat juice
- You place a Portobello face up and add the patty, then you add the bacon, lettuce, tomato, and whatever else you have decided to add to your burger. Close your burger with the other Portobello and IT'S READY!
PROCESS ON THE ASPARAGUS FRIES
- Cook the asparagus with a little olive oil, pepper and garlic salt. You can do it in the air fryer if you have one.
